Regulation Authority:

Chapters 42-17.1, 42-17.6, 20-1-2, 20-1-4, 20-3-2 through 20-3-6, 20-4 through 20-10, and in accordance with 42-35, of the Rhode Island General Laws of 1956, as amended.

Purpose and Reason:

The purpose of this filing is to set the 2010–2011winter shellfishing harvest schedule for the following Shellfish Management Areas; Greenwich Bay, Bristol Harbor, Bissel Cove/Fox Island, Potowomut, and High Banks Management Areas. Reinstate the description of the High Banks Shellfish Management Area, this inadvertently had been removed. This filing also divides the Greenwich Bay (GB) Shellfish Management Area into separate sub-areas, (Areas 1, 2, and 3), sets the 2011 winter harvest schedule for GB Area “1”, and updates, clarifies, and removes expired language.
